John Ilhan of Crazy Jones Mobiles, worth $300M odd dollars drops dead of a heart attack at 42.
Seemingly of good health, tee-totalling devout Muslim with 3 or 4 young children (all daughters?) drops dead suddenly whilst walking near his beachside home in Melbourne.
I am sure all this stuff happens all the time to the average person, but when these things happen to a public figure it makes you stop and think "shit, what if that happened to me?".
Speaking of me, I am 34, I drink socially but have many social functions (hic!) and whilst I dont and never have smoked, I do bugger all (read no) exercise.
Makes you wonder why he died and many others live un-healthily.
I have no reason also to say this, but in the back of your mind you wonder if he wasnt on some sort of "substance" that caused this.... it just seems so un-natural to keel over dead in a park at 42 (unless of course you have a knife in your back)....

Mate I'm nearly 39 and do even less exercise.

One word mate - genetics.
I'm 33, rarely drink, don't smoke, don't take any drugs, eat healthy and exercise regularly and for the last 3 years I've been battling liver disease. No fault of my own really, just poor genetic makeup and there's not much that can be done about it although to be this unhealthy at 33 makes me very angry and frustrated when I see others doing horrible things to their bodies and suffering no ill effects what so ever.
Not everyone gets to live to a ripe old age and that's just how life is sadly.
I will say one thing for him though, at least he has enjoyed a very good life up until now without any financial worries and good health right to the end. It was quick, and after 3 years of living through hell myself, I can definitely say that dropping quick is certainly one of the most kind ways to leave this world possible, and what's more - even with leaving a family behind - at least they will be well taken care of. If I died tomorrow I know my family would really struggle to get on with life...
So in some ways, I actually envy the bastard. Got rich, had some fun and died quick and young before he could feel the ravaging effects of old age. Lucky bugger.
