Once again, religious crack pots take it upon themselves to blast away at innocent civilians. Why? What does it prove? Why do cowardly acts make your cause "just"?
You and any other person considering to take lives for the sake of a religious cause - or any cause for that matter - need to take a good hard look at yourselves.
I could advocate your elimination from the gene pool, but that is just more hate on top of yours. Instead, I want us to derive an international symbol of the "little pinky salute" to mock you and derive your "lack of balls".
Sometimes I wonder if we just laughed at these idiots and told them to their faces without fear that they lacked it in the tackle department and that they probably still cried to their mummy's at night then maybe that might work more than ramping up panicky news stories and pandered to their fear mongering.

All Hail The Flying Spaghetti Monster
Christian schools teaching creationism in science classes against the explicit curiculum set by the Board of Studies?
If that is true, then this is a huge opportunity for Pastafarians to raise their religious views as well!
Do we have a Kansas Mk II?
Hehehe!

I am truly disturbed...
The Redneck American at his ugly worst...
There is a great deal of videos on YouTube that are depicting Barrack Obama as Hitler.
A sample of this is below. It is pure unadulterated Hate Speech and those who believe in this rubbish should take a good hard look at yourselves and check yourself in to your friendly local mental health facility.
In fact I welcome anyone to come on here and try and "justify" this rubbish.

Who said I was a Nerd?
I blog, dabble in computers, am addicted to Facebook and I game both on PC and on the table top. Some people have over the years called me a Nerd.
How can I be a Nerd when I have two such wonderful and beautiful daughters?!

I have never played World of Warcraft - mainly because I would become an addicted zombie - but every now and then I get see these videos and think they're funny and very clever.
Here's one I saw today:
As a post-script... this is WHY I don't play such games

Polticians Are Idiots...
OK, regular readers of this blog know that I was anti-John Howard and that I wanted a change to take place to help us improve our social infrastructure. You know, hospitals, education and a generally more tolerant society to the minorities.
So thats all good, but then Rudd - as I have previously lamented - blew half the surplus on cash handouts.
Now the new NSW Premier has issued a mini-budget in which he has scrapped capital infrastructure in the form of rail and light rail and has instead decided to slug people an extra dollar on the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel during peak hour.
So instead of giving people a viable alternative to driving and hence increasing the congestion, he punishes people financially for utilising the ONLY mode of transport available to those who would have benefitted from the new rail / light rail projects.
I don't live in Sydney's North West, and I do have viable rail transport, but this really is a DUMB decision.
This story is best highlighted in this case study from the Herald.
The story on the budget announcement is here; and take note of the fact that the Premier doesnt have a drivers license... do we all remember the last Premier who didnt drive??
For the record and for comparison, my rail ticket is $178 a month.

Things are moving...
Sorry for the lack of attention to the blog of late... being unemployed is a hectic business!
Just when I thought that the chances of me finding a new job before Xmas were close to nil (mainly because I thought once Melbourne Cup hits, then everyone in Australia hits the pubs and isnt interested in hiring anyone!), I managed to get two job interviews last Thurs and Friday.
Both were very promising, similar roles and sort of similar companies... the interviews went great, I am expecting to hear whether or not I made the first hurdle this week or so.
So fingers crossed!
In other news - we lost the cricket, the Bali Bombers were shot and the world continues to count down the last days of the tyrant George W Bush.

Obama Wins!
OK, you don't need me to tell you this... its all over the worlds internet. I was plugged into a couple of gaming sites today and everyone stopped gaming and was chatting about the result.
Its a good thing and I am really happy that Obama has won, but I do have to question why do I care so much for the American election result? The short answer is that George Bush has lead us so far down a terrible road that US Foreign Policy has driven the world to the brink of destruction - not the Nuclear version, but a more subtle socio-economic destruction laced with religious fervour - and that has affected everyone.
From Wall St bankers, to unemployed factory employees in Michigan to soldiers on both sides of the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan through to citizens in North Korea, Iran and then all the way through to me... a mere desk jockey in Sydney Australia - currently unemployed due to a direct result of the credit crunch and my former company having to sell its business (and my job).
We all have a vested interest and I think a large majority in all those places and beyond is silently relieved.
While McCain / Palin talked about security and terrorism and continuing on with the current American policy of no talking and pre-emptive strikes, Obama campaigned on peace, change and the long road ahead to better not just the United States but the world in general.
And the result was a landslide and a clear mandate that change is coming.
Well done America... for once you've put the bigger picture first.

Weekend Away
We went away this weekend with friends Julie & Con and Monique & Sean with their collective broods down to a house by the beach in Kiama Downs. The beach I think was Jones Beach and whilst we only had Friday thru to Sunday, it was a very good weekend despite the cold and rainy weather.
The weather though didn't deter the kids, nor did a large Blue Bottle on the beach scare them off from having a great time with the boogie boards.
We also took in the Blowhole, the kids did some fishing and we went through the Minnamurra Rainforest on the way home. Pics below!
See the sky and the dark grey water... that isnt a camera fault, it was VERY cold.
Julie enjoying the beach...
Blue Bottle! A biggie... the head was the size of a half apple.
