15 websites that changed the world

The WWW is 15yrs old this month! Happy birthday!

The UK newspaper, The Observer lists 15 websites that have changed the world. I have never heard of craigslist.com and I think myspace.com is a waste of space, but the others I agree with... Anyone think they missed one?

I'd add Geocities, which was the first place I found huge numbers of free hosted personal websites.

Craiglist is huge in San Francisco where it was founded. Its person to person classifieds. I've personally used it to rent 3 apartments, buy used playstation games, get sold out sports and concert tix, and I even bought my house from a guy on craigslist.

I love the site, it eliminates the middleman.
